You are not forced to do anything. Don’t watch.

Also, it’s their business. Open your own business and make your own commercials.

I really wish I had come to YELP and other sites to read the horrible reviews before doing business with Tampa Honda but as most things are in life you live and learn. These people are predatory. My son had a lease with them from 3 years ago that was about to end. For the past 6 weeks they have been calling him several times a week telling him about their specials for early lease turn in and offering him the same payment for a 2019 Civic. He went down there last week and found a car he liked and told them the payment he could afford. He is 25 years old and only makes $15,000 per year working part time as he goes to school part time. He can not afford payments any higher. The first day he was there they kept him there for 4 hours. They asked for money down after telling him on the phone that no down payments would be required. After 4 hours they told him the computers were down and he would have to come back the next day. He comes back the next day and is there for 3 more hours just waiting. They added charges for maintenance contracts to a brand new car that will be covered under the warranty for the entire 3 years he has it. They added an end of lease turn in fee. The final payment was $372. They should know that someone making 15k per year cannot afford that payment but they just kept him there for endless hours and talked him in to everything and he ended up agreeing to it. When he was finally ready to leave they left the tape or glue from all the stickers all over the windshields and side windows which we can not even get off. So you have a repeat customer with great credit who trusts this "Family owned" company and gets completely treated like crap and screwed over on the payment that they needed. When I called back the dealership and spoke to a manager named Courtney he was very rude and refused to offer any assistance. I will make sure I post this review on every website that I can and will be telling everyone I know that this dealership does not care about anyone and the only thing that matters is getting the most money they can out of every customer. Stay away from these people.

I have been purchasing New Honda’s since 1995. All of my experiences have been exceptional except this last one which took place at Honda Tampa. I purchased the 2018 Accord Touring and to my surprise this is by far the poorest choice that I have ever made. When I first purchased the vehicle everything went well. The staff COMMUNICATED VERY WELL. However, once I purchased the car the CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION DISAPPEARED! Allow me to share my frustrations. 1. I have had my car 2 months and yet have I received the second key that I have paid for.. It has been two months, what’s the hold up? 2. I had to get a jump start on a brand new 2018 Honda. This is ridiculousI returned the car to Honda to find out that the car had a bad battery. Good news, Meredith did an amazing job ensuring that I had a GOOD BATTERY 3. There are spots in the paint. I have had the car washed, buffed, clayed, and waxed (lost a ton of money doing this). The person who detailed my car suggested that I take my car back to the dealership to express my concerns which I have done. The staff informed me that another customer returned their car with the same concerns.I spoke with Solomon, Courtney (male) and Jonsam( spell check). Any who STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! Here we are, TW0 MONTHS LATER! I have called multiple times and also stopped by the store to see where we are at in the process because I’m assuming other things are more important than meeting the needs of your customers. The staff has promised multiple times to get back in contact with me. However the only time I communicate with the staff is when I contact them. This is becoming very frustrating. I should be making positive memories in my accord. Instead, I am putting unnecessary miles on my car and wasting my valuable time coming to address the problems that the staff is aware of. I wish I could change the hands of time because knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t be driving a Honda. I no longer enjoy this car and wish that I can return it!!

I bought my daughter a car in December 2017 in less than 6 months I’ve had to replace the alternator, the power steering pump and now!! With the hottest month coming up the Ac air compressor is on fire !! Wth I am so disappointed they sell cars like this they should warranty that the car is in good condition “As IS” they sold me a a warranty that covers only engine parts so only covers transmission in certain cases!! Now I’m stuck with about 4K of work I’ll have to put into this crap car! It was sold to me with an Oil leak coming from the power steering onto the alternator which in turn messed up my alternator!!!!!! I’m soo disappointed I thought I was getting a quality car from a reputable dealer but I see they just wanted the $$$ I even told my sales agent the car steering felt hard as if there was a power steering issue she reassured me her Honda does the same and that is normal! Come to find out it was the powersteering that caused the wheel to be so stiff!! The first oil change my daughter had they told her she had. A leak and they refused to cover it ! I just wish I cud drop off this car and be done but they probably wouldn’t care I’m sure they would be so bold as to try m up sell me!

I Got a "Out the door price" however, asked daughter to scan me a copy of paperwork. Realized we Were Not given price promised. After several days of leaving messages Jose returned called stated "that would have been the price if paid in full at the time of purchase". Shouldnt he had said that- I gave him $ 10,000.00 down so trust and believe if Tampa Honda hadn't used the Bait & Switch Method and simply said that price was the buy now price we would have immediately paid the "Out the door price". PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!! AVOID TAMPA HONDA AT ALL COST (No pun intended ) Also Bait and Switch used on Extended Warranty..BEWARE!!

Tampa Hondaland - Sales Representative Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is the most horrible place to buy a car. They are crooked. Sales lady Christine alba new nothing about the car. She had me sign a paper when I found a car I liked Stating that my payment would be between $440-$450 and first payment in January it is now November. She said that was what the finance manager agreed on if I signed it. I get back to go sign papers and payment is $479 he said I had to pay GAP ins. And I asked him what they did to the car for the reconditioning. He could not answer. The price on the window was what I was supposed to pay. I have it in a text message minus the tax and tax stuff. On the finace paper the car price went up $1800 plus GAP ins and tax title and 995$ dealer fees!! What I had no trade and money down. They put so much pressure on me as it was the first time buying a car for me. I was in tears and wanted to leave and had at one point 4 people in the finance office other managers and finance trying to convince me I had a great deal. Never got any info on my financing or anything until after I signed. They were getting me to listen to this person and that person and I was so stressed and upset. It was the most horrible experience but I needed the car because they said that my credit score will go down drastically because they had pulled it. I am so scared that I made the biggests mistake due to the pressure I was under. Wish I could have changed what I just did. Do not let them do this to you. They are horrible

Poor customer service

Service Dept. worker was rude and hung up on me.

I had an issue with a price for service that was much higher than the quoted price. While I was arguing about the price, the gal I was speaking with said I was threatening her (!) and hung up on me. I did say that I was going to pursue this further and I was a bit loud for a moment, but she has to learn who the customer is talking about. It was not her, who I don't know at all - it was strictly the price issue. She is in the wrong business if she gets upset so easily. Then, a service tech called me to explain the price, and said he was listening in on the prior conversation and HE said I was threatening her. Yes, I was irate because when they say I owe over $100 more than the quoted price, and my car has been there for over a week, I wanted answers. And now I'm sure they all "cover" for each other. The gal does not know how to deal with customers. And the service tech should have left well enough alone - it wasn't his business.

DO NOT TRUST PAUL FRIEDMAN. Went to the dealership in hopes of getting a vehicle. Fell for the advertising gimmick that since they were one of the biggest Honda dealers in Tampa that they would have the most companies able to help finance me. Was able to get a used Honda Element. I was pleased, because my credit score was lower than ideal. I drove it off the lot, and after driving it a week i found *** in the water reservoir over flow tank, and the brakes were less than they had "inspected" them at. (I had trouble stopping when i pushed on the brakes at high speeds, like coming off the highway) Took the vehicle back and they re-inspected everything again, and gave me new brakes and reservoir tank. Pretty inconvenient considering I lived in New Port Richey at the time. I drove the car for a year and a half and came back to get another Honda. I wanted a car this time. I was able to be financed for a loan of around $17k. My salesman Paul Friedman said that I would still not be able to get a Honda car and gave me some BS answer as to why, but said he could sell me a Mercury Milan instead. I had very little experience buying a car, so I took his word for it. I asked for the car fax and he said that he would mail it to me. I was so ignorant at the time that I said that would be fine. Basically this guy sold me a car that I didn't want. (I went to Honda for a Honda) and sold me a Mercury Milan, and told me I couldn't qualify for a Honda just so he could make more money off of me by selling me a used Mercury Milan. They never ended up sending me a carfax. I purchased one myself and it turns out that the car had structural damage. You live and you learn I guess. DO NOT TRUST Paul Friedman. He only has his paycheck in mind. MAKE SURE YOU GET A CARFAX IN YOUR HAND!!!!!

Added unwanted warrenty on a brand new Honda

AT the time of signing the lease on a Honda Cross tour at the Tampa Honda Land, the finance officer printed the paper work and had me sign the paper work 3 times and the last time it printed he had Increased my monthly lease amount by $40 by adding warranty I did not ask for.. manager never returned my call or willing to do anything about it when I had asked him to remove the unwanted warranty..They are crooks and dealership is full of *** artist..turned out the manager has mug shoot and appears to be a criminal.I just want make people aware and wouldn't wish anyone to go through this horrid experience..the dealership saw a female walking in to buy a after her car accident and decided to take full advantage..it is very disturbing that dealership premeditate the whole situation...after doing some research I realized I was not the only one this has happened before to many others..

Sold Used car as NEW

Was sold a "Brand New" 2012 Honda Insight in Mar/Apr of 2012. First day of driving car had defect. Took back to dealer, and learned Dealership was aware of problem.Over the next 12 months, car had to be repaired over and over again. Tryed to file Lemon Law and got run around from Honda Corp. In April on 2013 pulled my own car fax report for my 2012 honda insight and learned I was the SECOND owner. I have been without use of car for more than 60 days. AFTER total frustration w/HOnda Corporation, I traded the car in for Toyota Prius. The Toyota salesman had previously worked at Tampa HondaLand. He and another co-worker confirmed that they had personal knowledge of my car, that dealership knew car had major mechanical defects and sold it to me anyway. The price of the car was never discounted. BUYER BEWARE!!! TAMPA Honda Land AND HONDA CORPORATION. Horrible experience. What a bad way to do business-they, as a group, had no concerns that the dealership-with questionable practices would bring a bad reputation to a product (The Honda Line of Cars) and gave ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN over my loss. I had put $7,000.in cash down on my 2012 INSIGHT and took a significant loss at the Toyota dealership. NO ONE should shop for any car -new or used, without pulling their own CAR FAX Report. My opinion is what was done to me was criminal and intentional...just to unload a very messed up vehicle.

Why don't you call the Attorney General of Florida's office and report them for consumer fraud??? File criminal charges as well as sue them civilly and you just might win enough to pay for a new car - from somewhere else!!!

Tampa Hondaland are a bunch of liars!

Had numerous emails over several months concerning a car I was interested in. Stated the out the door price and the lowest I was willing to take for a trade-in. The manager who "test drove" my car smoked a cigarette instead. Then made me wait 30 minutes before handing me an offer that as printed 60 minutes before they even saw my car! Afterwards the salesperson was upset that I was accusing him of being a liar. No, the printed date and time stamp states you are a liar. In addition the price was $3000 higher. Never again. Tell all your friends!

They upped my price. I still bought since it was a hard to find model I wanted.

Then they accused me of stealing the car since the loan didn't go through, despite 3 weeks of them not returning my calls.

I would NEVER do business with these guys again. They might be as bad or worse than Rick Case!!!
